Promise Keepers
The Men of CPC meet on the 2nd and 4th Saturday morning for breakfast, support, Bible study and discussion, in the Social Hall from 7:00 - 8:30 AM. These men are committed to the seven promises of the Promise Keeper (PK):

  1. A promise Keeper is committed to honor Jesus Christ through worship, prayer, and obedience to God's Word in the power of the Holy Spirit.
  2. A Promise Keeper is committed to pursue vital relationships with a few other men, understanding that he needs brothers to help him keep his promises.
  3. A Promise Keeper is committed to practice spiritual, moral, ethical, and sexual purity.
  4. A Promise Keeper is committed to build strong marriages and families through love, protection, and biblical values.
  5. A Promise Keeper is committed to support the mission of his church by honoring and praying for his pastor and by actively giving his time and resources.
  6. A Promise Keeper is committed to reach beyond any racial and denominational barriers to demonstrate the power of biblical unity.
  7. A Promise Keeper is committed to influence his world, being obedient to the Great Commandment (Mark 12:30-31) and the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20).

Whenever the national Promise Keeper ministry schedules a 'stadium event' in northern California, there is a PK detachment from CPC in attendance.

Besides attending PromiseKeepers and Bible study and serving on various committees, the men of the church keep busy...being in fellowship with each other and doing many jobs at upkeeping and refurbishing areas of the church. The patio roof needed some major repair. There is a constant need for painting to be done. Faucets and toilets and drinking fountains are aging. Stuff needs to be hauled to the dump. The shed, like all homeowners' garages, seems to always need organizing. The men do it all with happy hearts, and not much grumbling! We owe them many thanks.

Men's Group

A Bible Study support group for men is studying "Faith at Work, --studies from James". They meet every other Thursday at the home of Dave Aronson, 903 Granada Lane, at 7:30 PM.
