New Focus is a ministry at CPC whose purpose is to assist its members in transitioning out of homelessness.  The ministry offers one on one financial management training, where members are assigned an individual coach to help them learn how to create and live within a budget.

Most members come from Opportunity House, Vacaville's Homeless Shelter.  New Focus Directors are in close touch with case managers at O House.

The ministry incorporates all aspects of members' lives to include guidance in parenting, childcare, transportation, seeking meaningful employment, furthering their education, and navigating medical and legal issues.

New Focus is staffed by volunteers who are motivated by their caring about those in our community who need assistance.  We are completely funded by donations, such as yours.

Candlelight Ministries is the name of the Women's group at Community Presbyterian Church.  Our goal is to shine the light and love of Jesus within the body of Christ and out into our surrounding community.  Within Candlelight Ministries are sub groups of which are active in various ways.  You can join any or all of the sub groups.

Wednesday morning 10 am Bible Study -in the Conference Room. Come study God's word and get to know the women at CPC. Come and be encouraged. Learn what God has to say and pray for one another. Led by Carole Kinslow and Sandy Crouse.

1st Saturday of the Month - 8 am Morning Prayer and Fellowship in the Chapel. Join other women at CPC who like to connect with the Holy Spirit.  Bring your concerns to God, pray for our community, our church leadership teams, and any other matter that God lays on your heart. Led by Julie Krebs and Sabrina Boltz.

Tuesday morning 9:30 - 11:30 - Quilter's Circle in the Social Hall - Come join other women who love to sew and put small quilts together. No experience required. These ladies will teach you what you need to know to help out. The quilts are made and then donated to convalescent hospitals in town. Most of the materials used to make the quilts are donated. Some of the quilts are sold to help raise money for postage to send out the Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes at the end of the year. Led by Pauline Sparks.

Paint for a Cause - Check out the events page to see if there is a painting class coming up you would like to attend. These are paint-along with the artist classes and usually last 2 - 2.5 hours.   They are held in the evenings at 6:30 pm or on a Saturday morning at 10 am.  Sorry, we do not serve wine, but if you come and paint with us, you will be filled with living water and your money goes to a good cause because all proceeds support missions. Community Outreach - This sub-group is always looking for ways to serve the community of Vacaville and reach others for Christ.  Check the events page to see when and where we gather and what we are doing. Led by Traci Becker.
